Online Support : How to Archive your Emails View video View video

This article will explain how you can archive your emails on your computer, either for backup, or to transfer to another account.

If you want to archive <100 messages at a time

This method is best for archiving fewer than 100 messages at a time.

In Webmail, go to OPTIONS > ARCHIVE SETTINGS. Under 'format emails as:' choose EML Messages, and save it.

Then, go to your inbox, or to the folder that contains the emails you want to archive. Select the emails you want to save, and click the drop down box on the right above the email list marked 'With selected…'. Choose 'archive', and save wherever you want to on your computer.

If you want to archive >100 messages at a time*

This method is best if you want to archive more than 100 messages at a time, and is generally recommend as a much more convenient way of downloading email to your computer.

Set up a mail client (such as Outlook, thunderbird, or mac mail) to connect with your account via IMAP. If you are not sure how to do this, this article will help you.

Once you have your email account set up, just drag and drop the chosen messages to a 'local folders' file on your computer. At this point you will want to make sure your computer is backed up, as those files will no longer be on our severs.

10:58: The majority of members will now be able to access the service. We pinpointed the problem on one of the storage service which will be remounted shortly. Update in 10.

11:15: The final server is still taking a while to come up. We are continuing to work on the problem. Will give another update in about 15 minutes.

11:40: Final server online and working. System will stabilise shortly. If you logged in and found your folders were all empty please login again now as this was simply due to the storage server coming back online and not able to show you your email at that moment in time.
